It is believed that the females of most species are the life-givers, the nurturers, the healers. There is a very different energy that is possessed by women. Though unique to each, there is a strong drive to support life. Having had the honour of being present at births, I can say there is no power stronger than a woman giving birth – truly miraculous!

On this day of celebrating women, and the wonderful ways they affect our world, I call upon all of you. Our world is weary and in need of that female energy to heal it. We need a Mother to be still and hold the space with love, to teach forgiveness, and to show kindness. It must be women who lead the way to create the new world. As my blessed grandmother always said, “The hand that rocks the cradle, rocks the world.”
